Epidemiologist / author Elizabeth Pisani has spent ten years working as a scientist in the belly of the bloated AIDS industry. In her forthcoming book, The Wisdom of Whores, she unfolds a universe of brothels and bureaucracies, of bickering junkies and squabbling charities, of men and women who sell sex and men and women who would rather prohibit it.
Here's one of my all-time favourite condom ads, for Kenya's Trust brand. Hats off to the American taxpayer for funding this ad, and the very affordable and (in my experience) not bad quality Trust condoms it promotes.
